About the Item

Vase with Graces by Etling Etling Manufaktur was a French company founded in the early 20th century that specialized in the production of ceramics and glassware. The firm was led by German entrepreneur Camille Etling and was named “Verrerie d’Art Etling” (Etling Art Glass). The manufactory quickly became known for its high-quality Art Deco-style products. In the 1920s, the Etling Manufaktur reached its peak and produced a variety of art objects, including vases, bowls, lamps, and figurines. These objects were characterized by their distinctive shapes, bold lines, and geometric patterns. Some of the most well-known designers who worked for the Etling Manufaktur were Jean Perzel, Claire Colinet, and Demetre Chiparus. The Etling Manufaktur was also known for its use of materials such as opal glass, jade glass, and semi-precious stones to enhance its products and give them unique color tones. Although the Etling Manufaktur lost importance in the 1930s due to the world economic crisis and the outbreak of World War II, its influence on the art and design world is still palpable today. Collectors still value the handcrafted art objects of the Etling Manufaktur for their aesthetics and quality.
