Impressive Royal Vienna style porcelain vase, 41 inches tall, finely gilt and hand-painted on cobalt blue ground with ram masks and
scenes from Lohengrin, the opera by Richard Wagner that debuted in 1850. These scenes depict title character's arrival by boat to defend Elsa who thereafter became his bride, and Lohengrin's later farewell.
