Rare scavo glass vase, 18” tall x 8.5” diameter signed Cenedese. Violet color glass has a scavo glass body. "Scavo" in the context of Murano glass refers to a technique that gives glass a subtly weathered or antique appearance, resembling objects unearthed from an archaeological excavation.
Cenedese
Co. was founded by Gino Cenedese. In 1947, Gino was joined by Alfredo Barbini. Following Barbini's departure, Gino used freelance designers, which included, Fulvio Bianconi, Riccardo Licata and Napoleone Martinuzzi.
