About the Item

Unusual in size and shape, this large Art Deco pitcher-form vase features pine boughs with extravagant sprays of pine needles and pinecones, all expressed in rich, emerald-hued green and black-brown glazes. This line of ceramic pieces was designed by Frank Ferrell, who served as Roseville Pottery's chief designer for many years, and was introduced in 1935. This vase is a very unusual form, and the glazes are especially rich and deep.. The vase retains remnants of its original foil label and is marked on the bottom.
