Murano art glass ashtray, handcrafted in Italy during the mid-20th century, circa 1960s.
This sculptural ashtray is executed in thick amber glass and features an organic free-form design with generously undulating, hand-shaped rims. The glass is enriched with decorative internal bubbles, a hallmark of Murano glassmaking techniques, creating depth, texture, and a warm golden luminosity.
The fluid lines and expressive modeling reflect the high level of craftsmanship associated with Murano workshops during the postwar period. The weight, clarity, and controlled bubble inclusions are consistent with Murano production of the 1960s.
