Vintage Mid-Century Modern Ceramic Ashtray by Edith Heath – Brown Sand Glaze, USA, c.1950-1953 Rare and collectible, this Mid-Century Modern ceramic ashtray was designed by Edith Heath for Heath Ceramics, circa 1950–1953. Made from durable glazed brown ironstone. Stamped “Heath, Made in USA” on the underside, the early logo dates this piece to the early 1950s—making it one of the most sought-after vintage forms from Heath Ceramics’ historic Sausalito studio. A beautiful functional object and a design collectible, this minimalist ashtray also serves elegantly as a trinket dish or key bowl.
