Mid-Century Italian Leather Desk Set in the Style of Jacques Adnet — 5 Pieces
Elegant five-piece mid-century Italian desk set crafted from leather, metal, plastic, and glass, in the refined style of Jacques Adnet. This sophisticated ensemble combines clean modernist lines with the luxurious tactile appeal of hand-stitched leather, embodying the timeless elegance of Italian design from the mid-20th century.
Discovered at an estate sale in Bardolino, Lake Garda, Italy, this set reflects both the craftsmanship and cosmopolitan aesthetic associated with the era.
The set includes:
Leather desk pad: approx. 19 in W × 13 in D (used condition with some wear on the outside front)
Cylindrical pen box: approx. 5 in H × 3.75 in Ø
Letter opener and scissor stand: approx. 3 in H × 10.5 in L × 4.5 in W
Letter stand with pen: approx. 9.5 in H (including pen) / 4.5 in H (without pen) × 7.75 in W × 5.25 in D — note: pen currently not functional, requires refill
Heavy crystal glass ashtray (cigar ashtray) in a leather stand: approx. 2.13 in H × 7.75 in W × 7.75 in D
Condition: beautiful vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The leather has developed an attractive patina, adding character and authenticity.
