About the Item

This is a solid, cast, English sterling silver wine label, marked RUM made by Thomas Willimore, of Birmingham, in 1815. (18th century George 111 period) The label has a nice canted oblong shape, with a curved profile to wrap around a decanter. The shape has a single incised line around its perimeter with the name; RUM engraved on it. The label has a good original interlocking link chain. This label is fully hall marked to the back. It weighs 6.2 gram.
