About the Item

Offering a beautiful restored 1950s Los Castillo style ice bucket and tongs in brass with iridescent mother of pearl abalone shell in a shimmering mosaic patterns that covers its entire body. The gorgeous surface is composed of numerous small, irregularly shaped pieces of abalone shell, attached to the body of the ice bucket. This particular ice bucket has a beautiful modern design with an array of pearly whites, iridescent blues, greens, pinks, and purples, reflecting light in a captivating way. Signed on bottom: "Hecho en Mexico". Original tong included. This ice bucket is a prime example of vintage 1950s Mexican "silversmithing" at its best. EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION. No flaws whatsoever. The brass has been polished to a high shine, BUT keep in mind that it will tarnish over time. PLEASE NOTE: The lights from the photos are reglecting a lot of color and in actuality it is a bit more subdued. This luxury vintage ice bucket will make a real statement in any decor, especially suited for a Mid 20th Century Modern or Palm Beach style Coastal Decor. SIZE: 6.5" wide 5" deep 6.5" high Weight: 1 pound 7 oz. (Nice and heavy) Tongs measure: 5.5" long. THIS ITEM WILL BE DOUBLE BOXED TO ENSURE SAFE ARRIVAL.
