About the Item

This rare Spremita Deluxe juicer was designed in the 1960s by Italian designer Lino Saltini and manufactured by Atlantic Milano. Executed in metal with chromed steel components, this example is distinguished by its uncommon teal green coloration, a far less frequently encountered variant. Created during a pivotal moment in Italian industrial design, the Spremita exemplifies the elevation of utilitarian objects into works of functional art. Its sculptural form and innovative lever mechanism reflect the experimental optimism of postwar Italy. The model is part of the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, underscoring its historical and cultural significance. This specimen remains in working order and shows visible signs of age, including localized paint peelings consistent with time. An important acquisition for collectors of Italian design, MoMA-listed objects, or museum-quality industrial design from the 1960s.
