About the Item

Repurpose this charming antique tonneau à vin as a decorative bar or wine cellar accent. Crafted in southern France circa 1880, the round barrel is built from solid oak staves bound by hand-forged iron hoops. A discreet side door opens to interior shelving, offering storage for bottles or barware, and it retains its iron lock with working key and cord. The piece showcases rich patina and age-appropriate character, with deep walnut tones beautifully contrasted by the blackened iron bands. Both functional and sculptural, this French wine barrel makes a distinctive statement in a kitchen, tasting room, or rustic interior. Measures: 28" diameter x 34.5" height.
