About the Item
A refined 19th century French cave à liqueur, beautifully decorated with intricate marquetry in various woods. The hinged lid is inlaid with the word Liqueurs in elegant script, surrounded by delicate geometric and floral motifs.
The interior features a removable tray fitted with four crystal decanters and sixteen matching crystal glasses. Each decanter has a faceted body and stopper, and the glasses are finely cut and perfectly sized for serving liqueurs.
Box dimensions: 11.8 in x 11.4 in x 9.8 in high (30 x 29 x 25 cm)
Decanters: 7.9 in high (20 cm)
Glasses: 3.1 in high (8 cm)
Condition: one decanter is of a slightly different model and has a damaged stopper. Minor restorations to the marquetry borders. Complete with key. Overall, the piece is in very beautiful condition, especially considering its age.
A fine and decorative piece, both functional and collectible, ideal for any connoisseur of French decorative arts.
