About the Item

A French "Cave à Liqueur" liqueur cabinet with antique crystal carafes and glasses. The cabinet contains four crystal carafes and ten glasses, there is space for 12 glasses, two glasses are missing (see sixth picture). The glasswork is crafted from exquisite heavy quality crystal. The case is made from veneered mahogany, inlayed with brass and zinc scrolls. All glasswork are in good condition, no cracks or chips. The case is in good condition as well. Made in France, in the late Napoleon III period, 1860-1870 Dimensions case (closed): 26 (H) x 30 x 30 cm Dimensions carafe: 19 (H) x 7.5 x 7.5 cm Dimensions glass: 9 (H) x Ø 3.7 cm.

Wear consistent with 160 years of age, use, handling and exposure, including retaining antique character marks and charm throughout, worn distressed original ebony finish, with scattered nicks, scuffs, scratches, rough spots and very minor chippy paint losses. The imperfections not noticeable in most lighting or at most angles, however we went way out of our way to make sure to capture the flaws in the photos to try and be as transparent and upfront as possible. Please be sure to inspect all the photos. Overall a wonderful assembled set, sturdy, stable, structurally sound, all crystal intact with typical wear but no cracks or damage.
