About the Item

This antique tantalus was made by the well known Elkington and Company of England and dates to approximately 1900 and done in an Art Nouveau style. The tantalus is composed of silver plate with a hinged hangle and stylized vines and flower decoration. The tantalus holds three cut crystal liquor decanters with faceted stoppers and have a mix of silver plated and sterling hanging tags. The base is clearly hallmarked with the Elkington maker's mark.
