About the Item
A classic antique George II solid Silver lidded Tankard. This Silver Georgian Quart Tankard has an impressive domed hinged lid with a shaped thumb piece and a substantial scroll handle. The Tankard Mug has a traditional baluster shape with an applied band around the body and stands on a spread foot. The tankard has a large ornate monogram opposite the handle.
Made in London in 1780 by Thomas Wallis.
