About the Item

Charming pair of hand-painted ceramic match strikers inspired by classic Parisian café culture. Each piece features a bold band of color—one in vibrant blue, the other in bright orange—encircling the base with stylized lettering reading “Café de la Rive Gauche.” The tops are trimmed in coordinating green and yellow accents. Designed in the traditional bistro style, the ribbed center column provides the striking surface, while the recessed top holds a generous bundle of matches. A playful addition to a bar, kitchen, or tabletop vignette. Design attributed to Alexander Girard.
