About the Item

This champagne cover, along with the Emerald and Ruby editions, is a jewel designed to enrich your table. The artist transformed our pure silver 999/°° K-OVER into a precious treasure chest to safeguard your bottle of champagne. Inspired by the renowned Fabergé Eggs, the artist skillfully reproduced their beauty and refinement. Additionally, the egg symbolizes life, and, paired with the color of beloved gems such as sapphire, it represents serenity and inspiration. Completely handcrafted and signed by Stefano Vigni, a master goldsmith from Florence, this cover's production spanned several months. The techniques used include overhang, chasing, and painting, all contributing to the product's artistic perfection. The artist meticulously worked a single piece of silver, paying great attention to chiseling intricate geometric designs. The cover is painted with a sapphire polish and enriched with small Swarovski stones. Upon request, these can be substituted with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, or other precious gems. Artist: Stefano Vigni began his career as an apprentice goldsmith at 14, perfecting his craft in Florence's top workshops, including the renowned Foglia's atelier. There, he mastered goldsmithing, chiseling, and sculpture, with his works featured in churches, cathedrals, the Vatican Museums, and Arab palaces. Stefano's prestigious creations include reproductions of the famous Fabergé Eggs, crafted with techniques passed down from generations of Fabergé craftsmen, working with precious metals and stones. In Florence, Stefano founded "The Cesello," an atelier he managed with his sons, Riccardo and Lorenzo. They recreated masterpieces for world-renowned museums like the Louvre, the Hermitage, and the Uffizi Gallery. Although the atelier has since closed, Stefano continues to work on special projects. Eager for new challenges, Stefano joined K-OVER, creating a champagne bottle cover inspired by the Fabergé school. Starting with a single silver piece, he intricately chisels each detail. For the Sapphire K-OVER, he combines enamel with silver; for the Emerald and Ruby K-OVERs, he uses gold and precious stones. Stefano's K-OVER pieces are unique and celebrated in our Works of Art collection. He also created a special K-OVER to commemorate the birth of his grandson, Diego, ensuring a lasting legacy. Stefano Vigni's dedication to his craft and innovative approach continue to elevate the standards of excellence at K-OVER. Technical Features : K-OVER is a brand of P.M.P Florence, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the silverware industry. Our covers keep your treasured bottles of champagne fresh for up to 2 hours. K-OVER is reusable, you can easily change the bottle by unscrewing the cap at the bottom. Each champagne cover is unique and has only been displayed at artistic and cultural events, or private luxury launches. K-OVERS are compatible with champagne bottles such as Moet Et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Cristal, Pol Roger, Piper, Perrier Jouet, Taittinger, Mumm, Ferrari, and Berlucchi. All our champagne and wine covers are crafted from solid 999/°° silver, unlike the typical use of sterling silver in silverware. This unique choice is driven by three compelling reasons, we aim to provide our customers with a high-value and unique product. Pure silver's resistance to oxidation makes it easier to clean and polish. Finally, the antibacterial properties of silver ensure it's safe for use with food and beverages.
