About the Item
An exceptional Georgian sterling silver brandy warmer of fine
large proportions and in extremely good overall condition, by one of the most important
oldest British silversmith firms dating back to 1680.
The large sterling bowl of compressed form having a lipped spout and featuring a very charming heart-shaped mount fitted to a sterling ferrule affixed with a turned
ebonized fruitwood handle.
The underside of the bowl bearing London hallmarks, date letter for 1830 and partially rubbed makers marks for the highly esteemed London silversmith firm of Barnard
Sons, that being Edward, Edward Jr., John
William Barnard.
In extremely good overall condition, and priced competitively in comparison to similar examples in the marketplace.
The dimensions of the the bowl measure 3.25" high x 5" diameter.
The overall height, measuring to the top of the handle measures 6".
The overall width, measuring from the outer edge of the bowl across to the tip of the handle measures 10.25".
The combined overall weight (including the handle) is 374 grams or 12 troy ounces.

Company of London with a capacity to hold 4 quarts.
The substantial oval body having open handles, richly decorated with embossed
engraved foliate motifs
centered by blank foliate cartouches, the conforming lid bearing engraved heraldic crests.
Raised overall upon a stepped oval foot, with the underside bearing impressed factory marks for Elkington
Co., together with date letter for 1884.
In extremely good overall condition, and priced competitively in comparison to similar examples in the marketplace.
