About the Item
Mid-Century Modern round red ice bucket with handle, acrylic lid, and brass details.
In a bright red, with clean lines, brass accents around the sides, and handle, this bucket is a necessity for any party. With a rotating handle, filling with ice is a breeze, and easy to carry around. The handle can be rotated and styled either up or down.
The exterior is covered in red fabric, which looks to be vinyl. It has brass accents up both sides adjacent to the handles, as well as around the base and top.
The lid is of acrylic or Lucite and features a round matching handle that has been drilled into the lid. Reminiscent of Bauhaus design.
The interior of the piece is created of white plastic, and looks to be insulated. The bottom is black.
How we would style it:
We'd love to see this bright retro ice bucket on a Milo Baughman buffet table or bar cart. (Or any other lovely midcentury piece) Filled with ice it would be the perfect midcentury accent to any party. Alternatively, it would also make for a great wine bottle or liquor bottle cooler. Just add ice, a bit of water, and the wine or liquor of your choice and you have a party!

Here is a very attractive mid-century ice bucket by Italian designer Aldo Tura. This model is in a beautiful red parchment with brass accents. Although the metal is brass, it has almost more of a warm silver tone--only pointing this out for accuracy--the pictures show the color fairly accurately. The glass liner is intact. There are some scratches to the parchment (the deepest is shown in a photo) and the brass has some roughness and minor pitting--mostly on the lid. None of these imperfections take away from the overall presentation of this unique piece.
