About the Item

A fine pair of George III Wine Coasters made in London in 1800 by William Stroud. These unusual Wine Coasters are circular in form with everted rims engraved with trailing foliate motifs. The sides are also decorated with crisp trailing vine and grape designs. The coasters are in excellent condition, are well marked and display their original turned fruitwood bases. William Stroud made very fine wine coasters during this period. Additional information: Diameter: 5.5 inches, 13.75cm. Height: 1.6 inches, 4cm.
