About the Item

Set of 6 Hanau-style sterling silver highball holders, ca 1910. Each: Cylindrical with open bottom. Dense repousse scrolls, flowers, and colonnades populated with pipers and strummers and a lone lady importuned by a cherub. An American adaption of turn-of-the-century German Rococo. With glass highballs. Each: Cylindrical with acid-etched leafing scrollwork. Glass is clear. Silver fully marked including New York maker’s (Mauser) and retailer’s (Brand-Hier) stamps and no. 765. Dimensions: Holder: H 2 7/8 x D 2 1/2 in. Glass: H 5 1/4 x D 2 3/4 in. Weight (silver only): 11 troy ounces.
