About the Item
Late 19th century exquisitely hand carved oak bowl with silver plated mounts and a flow blue porcelain insert. The bowl itself is hand carved with the appearance of heavily grained wood. On the bowl are mounted in silver plate, a scalloped collar and shield on the front, and the bowl is raised on hand cast silver plate feet of the best quality with acanthus leaves and ending in ball and claw feet. This is a spectacular piece for any home or office.
