About the Item
French Glass Bowl with Stamped Silver Mount, First Half of the 20th Century
A refined French glass bowl, early 20th century, featuring a beautifully cast and fluted body with a radiating star pattern to the base. The rim is mounted with a fine silver border, delicately decorated with a beaded edge, adding both elegance and contrast to the clear glass.
The silver mount is stamped with French silver hallmarks, though unidentified (see detailed photo). In addition, the bowl itself bears an unidentified marking in the center of the glass base. These details confirm the authenticity and add an element of intrigue to the piece.
The harmonious combination of transparent, light-reflecting glass and polished silver makes this bowl a versatile and decorative object, equally suitable for use as a serving piece or as a refined centerpiece.
