About the Item

Pair of silver salt cellars standing on three cabriole legs, featuring repoussé decoration with shell and rocaille motifs and a scalloped rim. A fine example of English Rococo silversmithing. Hallmarked on the underside; date letter partially rubbed, likely “h” or “n” for 1743 or 1748. Total weight: 197 g
