About the Item

19th century pine and sycamore butcher block from England. The block is made primarily from sycamore and has lovely color and wear from age and use. The block has hand made iron straps on the corners, to prevent warpage over the many years of its service. The base is made from pine, and has very simple lines with pegged construction and s single drawer, which slides from side to side for easy access from either side of the block. The drawer handle is also hand cast from iron. This is a wonderful piece which would look fabulous in any kitchen!
