About the Item

French Art Deco Butcher's Block Featuring a beech cutting block top, this French Art Deco Butcher's Block / Kitchen Island exemplifies a great design with wonderfully aged marks that narrate its rich history. This solid piece combines both function and classic Art Deco design, ready to place in the home. Fully renovated and in very good condition, the top has been slightly flattened for practical use without compromising its robust nature. Over time, butcher's blocks can become worn and unusable, but this particular piece will now give years of service. The lower section has been repainted to lighten its appearance and locking castors have been added to make the piece easy to move. The top has been oiled with food quality oil suitable for food preparation. The top section is removable from the lower section. Height: 96 cm Width: 150 cm Depth: 60 cm Circa: 1920s
