Elegant and richly detailed, this 19th century French Louis XV style "Surtout de table" was crafted circa 1860 and will instantly elevate any dining presentation. The oval silvered bronze frame is lavishly decorated with flowing acanthus leaves, floral garlands, and shell motifs, embodying the grace of the Rococo period. At its center lies the original mercury glass mirrored plateau, inset over a sturdy wooden base, reflecting candlelight, crystal, or fine porcelain with breathtaking effect.
