About the Item

A magnificent Antique Georgian Silver Epergne in a classic Adams style. The George III Centre Piece has a large central basket on a pedestal pedestal and four elegant branches supporting smaller baskets. All four Silver Baskets are embellished with delicate pieced patterns. The Base is decorated with chased swags and fluted designs. Each Basket has a small engraved crest. The Branches and Baskets are all removable to allow the centrepiece and individual baskets to be used in a number of different ways. Made in London in 1775 by James Young. Approx. Weight - 3126g / 100.51oz Approx. Height - 34.4cm Approx. Length - 44.2cm Approx. Length 44.2cm This Epergne has full English Hallmarks on the base and the baskets.
