About the Item
A charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Epoque Period Ormolu, white Carrara marble and Crystal centerpiece. This wonderful centerpiece is raised on a circular coved Ormolu base with a top beaded trim. The trim surrounds the white Carrara marble base which supports the richly chased winged cherub above. The cherub is seated on a cloth wrapped base with his legs crossed and a garment wrapped around his waist. His arms are raised to support the circular reeded Ormolu plate before the Crystal bowl with an elegant and thick scalloped rim. The crystal bowl is secured in the center with an Ormolu central finial.
