This glazed bowl is a 19th Century reproduction of a 16th Century Persian Enameled Glass Bowl. The vibrant colors on this bowl feature people as well as animals and a crest with a Phoenix in the center. We see this impressive bowl or coupe on a coffee table, a shelf or a pedestal. Base diameter measures is 5 inches.

    Repaired: The base has been repaired in 19th Century with two thick staples that have secured the bowl and helps date this piece to be around 1880 s. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. Please see all images and research as well as drawings which try to analyze the meaning of the bowl. Please also note the museum registration of what we think is 621 ECB.
