About the Item

Large leaf-shaped ceramic platter manufactured in Vallauris, France, circa 1950–1960. Made in majolica, the piece has a deep, organic profile with a scalloped rim and a small stem detail at one end. The interior is moulded with central leaf veining, giving structure to the form. The glaze combines rich red and brown tones with areas of cream and green, creating a dynamic surface typical of mid-century Vallauris production. The finish is glossy and continuous across the bowl. The underside is signed, confirming origin. This platter works well as a serving piece, fruit bowl or as a standalone centerpiece on a dining or coffee table. Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use.
