About the Item
Contemporary Venetian Decorative Arts gold vase, in blown Murano glass, worked with pure 24k gold, one part more elongated than the other and both can function as a base. The bodies are both in textured glass with a honeycomb pattern that multiplies reflections and enhances the gold. The Hollywood regency flair is accentuated by a bold sphere worked with pure gold leaf, overlaid with honeycomb crystal glass, and elevated with amber glass disks. Signed Alberto Donà Murano.
Can be accompanied by a smaller vase in a similar style. These vases are very sculptural and decorative on their own and are also ideal for plants or centerpiece bouquets.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
