About the Item

A most elegant pair of Chinese 18th century Famille Rose Porcelain and French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu mounted centerpieces. Each wonderful presentoir is raised on a circular pierced Ormolu base with scrolled foliate designs in a stunning satin and burnished finish. Above is the tapered fluted circular support below a spiral twisted design a bottom trim with a beaded edge. At each side of the centerpieces are elegant scrolled Ormolu handles with foliate designs, flowers, and acanthus leaves. The centerpiece displays wonderful and colorful flowers with birds and bouquets of flowers while being surrounded by an Ormolu egg and dart designed rim.
