Rare, large stoneware dish, signed and dated 1987.
The dish is decorated with Per Weiss’ characteristic organic pattern – concentric circles and rhythmic lines, with the grooves filled with glossy light-grey glaze and the raised surfaces finished in matte brown. The interplay between form and glaze creates a vibrant relief with strong tactility and a striking sculptural presence.
Per Weiss (1951–2023) was a Danish ceramist and designer, known for his sculptural stoneware pieces and his distinctive organic decorations. His large-scale dishes are rarely seen on the market, making this an exceptional example of his work.
