About the Item

A "helecho marino" (eared spleenwort) tumbaga (copper and gold alloy) centerpiece by ROMOHERRERA. The organic leaves-shaped pieces form a lovely centerpiece made with hammpered tumbaga. The piece is sealed on its bottom. ROMOHERRERA is a workshop founded by Cristina Romo and Eduardo Herrera that produces studio jewelry, furniture and art objects. All products made by ROMOHERRERA are handcrafted by talented artisans. They experiment with different materials like silver, copper, alloys and ceramics. Cristina is a third-generation artist from the Castillo dynasty of silversmiths in Taxco. Eduardo was trained as an architect and worked under many contemporary artists and painters. Both artists work between Mexico City and Taxco.
