About the Item
Spice rack. Silver. Spain, 20th century.
With contrast marks.
Oval-shaped vessel supported by four legs with a human head, extended wings and an architectural base with vegetal decoration with a marked classicist taste. Stylistically, it is inspired by old models of Spanish silverware. You can see the star reserved for First Law silver in the 1935 Regulation, and a silversmith's mark that has not been identified. ·

Faithful copy of the writing service by the silversmith Pietro Rubini, Milan c.1775
The inkstand is composed of a shaped tray supported by 4 rocailles feet, modeled along the entire profile by finely embossed and chiselled volutes, leaves and shells.
Above the tray are two ink holders and two pen holders with spiral workmanship and highly embossed vegetable decorations.
