Large Contemporary Classical sterling silver trophy bowl. Round and curved with flared rim and stepped and domed foot. Bracket side handles with case horse figures mounted to shaped supports. Gilt-washed interior. Plenty of room for recording a generation of equestrian triumphs. Fully marked including stamp for Ubaldo Vitali, an Italian-born American maker, whose work is in the Smithsonian. Heavy weight: 84.5 troy ounces.
