About the Item
The stand for two decanters is modelled in the form of a Royal Naval ship with the original gilt gun ports. It has two circular apertures cut into the deck for a pair of cut-glass decanters and is set on dockyard building blocks. The mahogany plinth base has four bun feet. The two cut-glass decanters are ten years later in manufacture. English, circa 1800
