About the Item

Kangxi period, 1662-1722, blue white porcelain plate, Chinese. Molded body with lotus petal reserves. The 8-flute molded sides surround a reserve of flowering plants growing from a taihu rock with insects in flight. Barbed rim. Underside with symbols 2 character mark. Rough spots, tiny chips 1/4″ thin chip under rim. 8.25″ dia., 1.25″ h. Condition commensurate with age and use.
