A rare 9" Lambeth Delft plate: "An English Delftware tin-glazed charger attributed to the Abigail Griffith London Lambeth pothouse. Great decorative blue and white delftware- boldly painted in strong inky black-blue with a powerful and dramatic landscape with chinoiserie buildings, hollow rocks and dominating weeping tree. The well of this dish has a typical border of diaper pattern, while the brown edged rim is edged with graphic panel border of stylized mons and diaper. A rare identified example of an eighteenth century English delft pottery plate for the antiques enthusiastic." Antiques Expert Hamilton Bear.
