This piece features an intricate bird motif etched into the surface, showcasing Webb's attention to detail and artistic flair. The bowl's glaze transitions smoothly from a warm brown to a subtle green, adding depth and character to the piece. BIOGRAPHY Randy was born in 1913 and died in 1997. He obtained his MFA, Master's of Fine Art, at Alfred University in 1937 and was Instructor of Industrial Design 1949-1951, and Instructor in Pottery 1951-1956. Randy was nationally known for his paintings and ceramics, named the nation's CERAMIC ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN 1949 BY NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE.
