An everyday example of Chinese blue-and-white porcelain, this 19th-century porcelain plate charms with expressive cobalt-blue decoration, sparsely brushed against a blue-grey field. Shaped with gently curved sides, the round plate is decorated with loose linework and abstract florals, all hand-painted with expressive brushwork around a central spiral medallion.
