About the Item
Hang this fausse pair of uniquely large, colorful Majolica plates on your kitchen wall or display them on a shelf. Sculpted in France circa 1880 in the manner of Longchamp, and hand painted, one porcelain plate is dressed with hand painted fruit motifs in high relief including four red and green pears in high relief, hanging from a tree branch covered with green leaves. The other ceramic platter features five green and red apples embellished with green leaf decor and also attached to a branch. Both chargers have a brown, beige, light blue and pink background palette. The decorative wall platters are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn well-maintained, vivid colors. Hanging wire devise in the back for easy installation. Markings on the underside with number 155 for further authentication.
