Rare and unusual square ceramic tray, charger, or plaque features striking geometric decor in Art Deco style. The reserved mocha brown and warm burnt cinnamon colors of the pattern are juxtaposed with the off-white background; the colorway is rather unique to the typical Longwy color palette. The use of craquelure, cracked, or crazed, glaze, that acquires additional visual effect during firing, as well as ceramic cloisonne technique, with prominent lines dividing the pattern, adds extra dimension and texture to the piece.
