Menton French Majolica (Barbotine) Trompe L'oeil Wall Plaque on a turquoise ground with lemons molded in high relief, circa 1880, 8-inches diameter. Generally referred to as "Menton," these rare pieces of Barbotine (French Majolica) were commemorative souvenirs for wealthy Victorians visiting the French Rivera.
