A French vintage glazed stoneware pitcher of unprecedented scale, this utilitarian Provincial vessel would have been used to dispense cider, wine, or water. Glazed in a ruddy blend of earthtones over the ribbed body, it becomes a unique work of ceramic art on its own; the wabi-sabi organic quality of the desert hues in brown and neutral glazes lends historic authenticity to any interior. The generous scale is perfect for arranging tall flowers and greenery, or simply to appreciate as an artifact of culinary history.
