About the Item
Rare Large Goldscheider Art Deco Ceramic Figurine of the 1920s:
Young lady with short hairstyle in a short, low-cut strap dress with large floral decoration, posing lasciviously and self-confidently: raised head with closed eyes and pursed lips, with left thumb and forefinger pulling the large shawl, which is draped over the right shoulder, up to the side.
On a cream-coloured, octagonal, rounded base with shades of gray on the sides, artist's signature 'Dakon' on top behind the figure.
Designed by Stephan DAKON (1904 - 1992), was one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties.
This Model 5584 was created circa 1926.
