About the Item
Excellent Goldscheider Ceramic Figurine of the late 1930s:
A young, pretty lady with curly hair, wearing only ballet shoes, balancing on her left toes with her upper body turned to the side and tilted back, pulling up her right leg and holding up a large, light-blue cloth with an extensive blue poppy and pink flower decoration at an angle behind her with outstretched arms, artist's signature ‘Nieschlag’ on the hem of the cloth at the back.
Based on a black, graduated diamond base.
Designed either by KARL NIESCHLAG (1909 - 1975) or by JOSEF MELCHER (1897 - X).
Filipp Goldscheider stated that it is not completely clear which of these two sculptors clarified, to which of these two sculptors the design - model 8174 - is to be which was created around the years 1937-38.
