We have been fortunate to come across another monumental Salvatore Meli ceramic. It is signed and dated Meli 1953 Roma. A piece of this scale comes around so rarely they are highly desirable Biographical notes: SALVATORE MELI, was born in Comiso, June 1, 1929, lives and works in Rome, the Via Appia Antica in the Studio. It 'was a lecturer in the School of Public Ceramic Art of Civita Castellana (Rm) and the latest headlines Special course "Miscellaneous Techniques of Sculpture" at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. He participated in 1953 at international exhibitions of ceramics in Spoleto, Rome, Stockholm, and until 1955, at the Milan Triennale, the exhibition overseas in Naples, the National Show Albissola Marina di Vicenza, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Australia and Monaco. He has held personally in Rome, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, Dublin, Prague, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Geneva, Dubrovnik, Messina, Fiuggi. While continuing to participate in group exhibitions and organize personal exhibitions aimed primarily his creative activity in creating works of art for public buildings and private. "...
