About the Item

Pair of plates in Ceramica BUSCAROLI Bologna 20's. Strong connotation deriving from the property of the moment of Emiliani. Persian palmette decorations with variations of various kinds on the circumference of the plate. In the centre of the plate we find two different designs of boats or caravels. At the bursi of the plate we find paintings of various elements with a predominant colour of yellow. On the back of the plate there is the signature of the manufacture Buscaroli Bologna. The Buscaroli ceramics together with the Minghetti factory represent the excellence of Bologna's artistic ceramics of the 20th century. The company also produces artistic stained glass. In 1931 it was taken over by Domenico Emiliani from Faenza who kept it active until 1934.
